Southeastern used 11 hits and scored runs in five innings to pull away with a 9-3 win over Cameron on Tuesday afternoon at The Ballpark in Durant.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 16-10 on the season and is the fifth-straight going back to the final game of the Angelo State series a week ago.

SE will have a quick turnaround as it gets on the road for a 6:30 p.m. meeting with Oklahoma State on Wednesday evening in Stillwater, Okla.

The Storm got a big day at the plate out of Troy McCartney who turned in a 3-for-4 effort, while Aaron Chalk pitched in a two hit outing that included a pair of RBI.

In all, six others picked up hits on the afternoon, while Chalk, Trevor Bowen and Nick Grimmet teach posted two RBI, with Travis Caraway and Josh Smith each added one RBI.

David Cagle got the start on the hill for the Storm, but left early after allowing a run on a hit with four walks and two strikeouts in 2.1 innings or work.

Levi Lewis would come on with the bases loaded and work out of a jam to start his 4.2innings of work as he picked up his third win of the season on the strength of allowing a run on four hits with five strikeouts.

Storm Griffin tossed the final 2.0 innings and allowed one unearned run on two hits with a strikeout.

Cameron struck first in the contest with a run in the top of the third after Cagle issued a bases-loaded walk.

Lewis would then come on with one out and coax the next batter into grounding back to him to start the 1-2-3 double play that ended the inning.

Southeastern would then answer as Smith singled to start the inning and moved to second on a Ryan Salter bunt before coming home when the Aggie second baseman misplayed a ball put in play by Alexander, knotting the score at 1-1.

In the bottom of the fourth, Bowen would put the Storm in front with a two-run single to right that plated Chalk and Chevis Springer, with Smith following one batter later by reaching on a fielder's choice that scored Chalk and left SE up 4-1.

CU picked up a run in the top of the fifth to cut the lead in half, but a Chalk sac fly in the bottom of the inning would push the lead out to 5-2.

A Chalk single in the bottom of the seventh would push the advantage to 6-2,followed by a pinch-hit two-run single by Grimmett that scored Bowen and Chalk giving the Storm an 8-2 lead.

The Aggies would add another run in the eighth on a two-out RBI single, but Southeastern would again answer in the bottom half of the inning with a Caraway sac fly to make the score 9-3 which would hold to be the final.
