Vandals spray painted at least 10 cars in an Edmond neighborhood.
EDMOND, Oklahoma -
Vandals go on a spray-painting spree in an Edmond neighborhood, targeting several vehicles including a police patrol car and a Logan County deputy’s vehicle.
The incidents occurred in the neighborhood just north of Santa Fe High School, southeast of Santa Fe Avenue and Edmond Road.
The vandals first struck the night of March 15 in the 1900 block of Gray Fox Drive. A neighbor coming home from work shortly before midnight saw someone had vandalized an Edmond police officer’s patrol car. The officer said he’d heard laughter outside his home just before the vandalism was reported.
The vandals also targeted cars in the 800 block of San Simeon Drive sometime in the early morning hours of March 17. The vandals spray painted several cars on the street. They also targeted a Logan County deputy’s vehicle, spray painting a curse word and male genitalia on the car.
Similar acts of vandalism were reported in the same neighborhood on March 19.
Edmond Police is asking anyone with information about the vandalism to call (405) 359-4443. Police are also looking for anyone who may have captured video of the vandals on their home security cameras.
