Friendship Bracelet Found In Suspicious Package At Yukon Fire Department

After investigating, crews say the package was safe.

YUKON, Oklahoma -

What was apparently meant to be a friendly, international gesture caused an emergency Tuesday night at the Yukon Fire Department.

A firefighter received a suspicious package from Israel. Not knowing what was inside, the Yukon Fire Department called in Oklahoma City firefighters and hazmat crews to investigate.

Around 7 p.m., police blocked off several roads around Main Street while crews tried to determine what was inside the package.

Crews eventually determined the package was safe, and found it contained a harmless friendship bracelet.
