Will and Amy Blanchard
EDMOND, Oklahoma -
They started growing
beards in January and on Saturday, March 16, a group of men in Edmond are a lot
less hairy.
The guys have been using their facial hair to raise money for a
couple who is in the process of adopting a child and their hard work paid off netting
more than $10,000 for the couple.
Before Saturday,
approximately $4.600 had been donated to the cause via the Beard
for the Blanchards website. Now, thanks to a silent auction,
bake sale and other donations, over $6,000 poured into the fun and now Will and
Amy Blanchard have over $10,000 toward adopting their very own bundle of joy.

The biggest money getter in the silent auction was the shot gun
signed by Jase Robertson of A&E's "Duck Dynasty" for $601.
All money that has been raised will go to the
Blanchards. Anything left over will be donated to the Touch of Life Foundation.
