Mid-America Christian University women's basketball head coach Roman Owen has announced the signing of junior college transfer Ashlee Ferguson to the program for the 2013-14 season.

Ferguson comes to MACU after a solid career at Collin County Community College in Plano, Texas. Last season, she averaged 12.5 points per game to help the Lady Cougars to a 25-5 overall record and a ranking of 18th in the final NJCAA Division I poll.

A native of The Colony, Texas, Ferguson scored in double-figures 19 times for the Lady Cougars, including a season-high 31 points on 7-of-12 from beyond the arc in an 81-67 victory over Panola College (12/1/12).

She was also named the 2011 District 4-4A Offensive Player of the Year as a senior at The Colony High School.

"I am very excited to sign our latest addition to the team for next year," Owen said. "Ashlee has the scoring potential that we will need and more importantly, she displays high character and will be a great fit for our program."
