Some suspicious items in plain sight helped police catch two men suspected of burglarizing an auto shop in northwest Oklahoma City.

Police were called to investigate a burglary early Monday morning at Maaco Auto Body on Rockwell near NW Expressway. While heading to the scene, officers spotted a car matching the one the suspects were reportedly driving.

Police stopped the vehicle and found two men inside; Jimmy Lee Vaughn, 33, and Ryan Alan George, 28. In the car, police also saw a black ski mask, two sets of black gloves, and two crowbars.

Police also spotted a white cash box. It was covered in purple paint, and the same purple paint was on Vaughns' pants and shoes.

Police arrested both men and booked them into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of second-degree burglary, and receiving or concealing stolen property. George was also booked for driving with a suspended license.
