MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -
A Muskogee County jury was unable to come to a verdict in the trial of a man charged with first-degree murder -- leading the judge to declare a mistrial.
The Muskogee Phoenix reports that jurors deliberated nearly three hours Friday before telling Associate District Judge Norman Thygesen that they were hopelessly deadlocked on the charge against 21-year-old Tommy Lee Dean Jr.
Dean was charged in connection with the November 2011 shooting death of 17-year-old Ryan Satterfield during what prosecutors say was a robbery. Prosecutors say Dean ordered another man -- Deandre Clark -- to shoot Satterfield.
