OKC Zoo Names Infant Gorilla

The Oklahoma City Zoo has announced the name of a male gorilla born on Valentine's Day.

The baby gorilla has been named Leom, which is pronounced lee-um. The name originated from Leom's mother's name, Kelele, and his father's name, Bom Bom. Zoo keepers said they wanted to honor the infant gorilla's parents.

Leom is the first birth for 19-year-old mom Kelele, a western lowland gorilla. Father Bom Bom died in July 2012 of cardiac arrest.
