Authorities in the Delaware County community of West Siloam Springs believe a woman faked pregnancy to receive gifts.

The woman, Stacy Belt, 32, was the subject of an investigation this week by West Siloam Police and the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation.

After receiving a tip that Belt was pregnant and some feared she buried the fetus, the OSBI searched the yard outside Belt's home for a fetus. After two days, the OSBI ended the search.

Police say their investigation has found Belt received gifts from people who thought she was pregnant.

Belt was detained Tuesday while authorities looked for the fetus. Three children in Belt's home were placed into state custody. Police are now looking into possible child neglect allegations.
