The Oklahoma County Sheriff's office has canceled the search for two suspects who led police on a high-speed chase on the southwest side of the metro, Thursday night.
According to a report by the sheriff's office, a deputy was attempting to pull over a man driving a small pickup near S.W. 31st Street and Kentucky, when the man hopped a curb, bailed out of the car and jumped inside a small Honda driven by another man.
The Honda sped away and the deputy gave chase. That vehicle fled to a neighborhood in the 1200 block of SW 24th St. and McKinley where both men took off on foot.
Authorities established a perimeter in the neighborhood and a K9 unit was called in to assist, but both men were able to evade capture. A description of the two men has not been released at this time.
Both suspect vehicles were impounded and deputies are confident that they have identified at least one of the suspects. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call (405) 869-2501.
