Batters in Wednesday afternoon's twin bill between the Cameron University Aggies and the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies faced 30 mph winds in their faces plus cool conditions, but Cameron managed to put four runners safely home in both games while keeping OPSU scoreless.

In the first of the two 7-inning non-conference games, CU's pitcher Aaron Kleekamp threw a no-hitter, striking out six and walking four. CU scored two runs each in the second and fourth innings for the 4-0 win. OPSU defenders turned a nice double play in the first inning when second baseman Jordan Sprouse threw to shortstop Robert Montoya, covering second, to get the first base runner out and then Montoya sent it on to first baseman Nick Crosswhite to get the hitter out. Right-handed pitcher Nolan Glasscock, a freshman from Amarillo, started his first game of season, tossing a complete game, striking out two and scattering eight hits.

OPSU Aggies Casey Kettler, Alfonso Gonzalez, Gregory Siqueiros, and Jordan Sprouse each got a hit in game two, but none of them turned into runs as CU took another 4-0 win. Another right-handed freshman pitcher, Adam Burke from Albuquerque, saw his first start and gave up six hits, two runs (none earned), and struck out four. CU starting pitcher Brent Hendy took the win.

Now 0-17 and 0-12 HC, the OPSU Aggies resume Heartland Conference play at home Mar. 8-9 in a three-game series against St. Edward's University (10-7, 7-5 HC). The first pitch of Friday's doubleheader is at 1 p.m. and Saturday's single game begins at 1 p.m.
