No Flu Deaths Reported In Past Week Across Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY -

It appears the flu season has run its course across Oklahoma.  According to numbers released Thursday from the state Department of Health, no one died from the flu and the number of those hospitalized with flu-related symptoms increased only slightly in the past week.

The OSDH says the number of people hospitalized since the start of the flu season is now at 1,015, up 26 from a week ago. The number of those who have died because of the flu remains at 30.

Oklahoma Department of Health Flu Numbers

The flu season runs through May.

Tulsa County leads the state with 7 deaths due to flu, Oklahoma County has had 5 deaths since September 2012 and Comanche County has had 4 flu-related deaths.
