An OSU football player is being accused of animal neglect by a former next-door neighbor.

Lauren Bush just received a Master's Degree in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences from OSU. She also just moved out of a duplex that sits next to an off-campus duplex where OSU defensive back Shamiel Gary lives.

Bush says Gary hasn't been feeding his dogs or providing them with enough water. And she says she has complained to Stillwater Animal Control several times.

"There's never water.  There's no excuse, if you're gonna be gone all day, all the time, to not have water out there," Bush said.

Stillwater Police say they have been investigating. An OSU spokesman tells News 9 the dogs have been declared healthy by a local veterinarian. However, an Oklahoma City Veterinarian we sent photos of the dogs to says they both appear underweight.

No one answered the door at Shamiel Gary's home Wednesday.
