OKLAHOMA CITY -
A body is found
inside a burning car and police are calling the death a homicide.
The victim was
found Sunday around 6:30 a.m. at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex
and neighbors say they're not surprised.
So far, all
investigators know, is that the person murdered inside the burned out car was a
woman.
The State Medical
Examiner is still working to figure out the woman's identity, pending dental
records. Neighbors say the victim did not live at the complex, and may have
been taken to the property, murdered, then set on fire.

"I hear gunshots
all the time. There are ambulances and fire trucks and police will be down
here all the time," said a Willow Cliff Apt. resident.
"I was woken up by
the red and blue lights, flashing in my window, and I just saw the police
tape," said another resident. "I don't feel secure. I don't feel safe
because I don't know exactly what happened there and it could happen to me or
anybody else."
Police are still
trying to determine if a separate fire on the property that night is in any
way connected to the car fire.
Constant traffic
comes in and out of the complex and neighbors say, without a working gate, a 'No Trespassing' sign does little to help with what seems like constant crime.
Still, no one has
been arrested in the case and no suspects have been named. Anyone with
information on OKC's 11th murder should call the Homicide Tip Line at (405) 297-1200.
