DELAWARE COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Police have called off the search for the remains of a fetus in Delaware County, saying there's no evidence that a fetus ever existed.

Stacy Belt, 32, was arrested and booked into the Delaware County jail on three complaints of child neglect, according to OSBI. Belt lives at the home where police were searching.

According to CBS affiliate KFSM in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Belt led people to believe she had been pregnant and investigators suspected a fetus may have been buried in her yard.

West Siloam Springs Police requested the OSBI's assistance Monday evening.

Authorities ended their search Tuesday night without finding anything, and the search continued Wednesday with police dogs. Around 2:30 p.m., investigators took down the crime scene tape and left the scene, KFSM reports.

Now, police say there is no evidence Belt was ever even pregnant, aside from her comments on Facebook.
