The Oklahoma State Cowgirls wrapped up the regular season on Monday night in Ames, Iowa, but things didn't go exactly as they'd hoped.

The Cowgirls blew a 13-point second-half lead, falling to ISU 73-70 at Hilton Coliseum.

Oklahoma State led 38-30 at the half and came out strong in the second, scoring the first five points to open up a 13-point cushion but the Cyclones responded with a 14-3 run to cut the lead to just two with 11:48 to play.

With ISU leading 70-69 with 42 seconds remaining, the Cowgirls were hit with a technical foul that resulted in two Hallie Christofferson free throws for ISU to take a three-point lead.

OSU's Brittney Martin responded with a steal that resulted in an easy layup for the Cowgirls to pull within one with 30 seconds remaining but a foul on Tiffany Bias just seven seconds later sent Nikki Moody to the line, who sank both.

OSU's Liz Donohoe missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer with one second remaining in a tough loss for the Cowgirls to handle from an NCAA Tournament standpoint.

The loss dropped OSU to 20-9 overall but just 9-9 in conference play. The Cyclones improved to 21-7 and 12-6 in the league.

OSU was led by 26 points from Kendra Suttles on 10-of-13 shooting. Suttles was also a perfect 4-of-4 from the 3-point line and 2-for-2 from the foul line. Martin had 20 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for the Pokes, as well.

Liz Donohoe was the only other Cowgirl in double figures with 14 points on 3-of-12 shooting.

Toni Young had arguably her toughest outing of the year, managing just three points and two rebounds after fouling out in just 26 minutes.

The Cyclones were led by Christofferson's 21 points. Chelsea Poppins added 18 for ISU.

The Cowgirls will be back in action this weekend at the Big 12 Championship in Dallas.
