Edmond Home Destroyed By Blaze

Crews have extinguished a fire at a home on the northeast side of Edmond, Friday afternoon, but not before the flames consumed much of the structure.

Firefighters were called to the home, located at 7 S. Ridge Pointe Dr. in the Ridge Pointe subdivision, north of Edmond Rd. and west of Interstate 35, at around 4 p.m.

A large portion of the home was lost on the fire, but an early damage estimate has not been released.  

It is unclear if anyone was inside the home at the time the fire started. Crews have not determined a cause.

EMSA was been called to the scene to treat someone for smoke inhalation. The identity of that victim has not been released.
