Accident, Fuel Spill Closes Parts Of I-44 In Southwest OKC

An accident along I-44 is tying up traffic.

It happened just after 3:00 Thursday afternoon when a truck lost its load along I-44 where it meets with I-240 in southwest OKC.

The accident has caused diesel fuel to spill onto the roadway. Hazmat is on the scene to help clean up the mess. No injuries are reported.

Traffic is backing up northbound on I-44. OHP is asking drivers to avoid the area.
