One day after almost 20 inches of snow overwhelmed the city of Woodward, hundreds of people are still without power.

As of late Tuesday afternoon, the northbound traffic into Woodward off Highway 183 was still down to one lane, because Woodward is still digging out.

People in Woodward still need a lot of help. Hundreds of homes are without power. The heavy weight of the wet snow has caused some roofs to collapse, including the home of 71-year-old Curtis Haines. Haines was killed after the roof collapsed.

"Yesterday was just very difficult. We had two homes that were lost in fire, and firefighters had a very difficult time trying to get to those that was just right in the middle of the blizzard," said Woodward Emergency Management director, Matt Lehenbauer.

Five miles west of town there was a partial collapse at the Siemens plant, fortunately, no one was injured.
