An Enid man was arrested Thursday for possession of child pornography and engaging in sexually explicit conversations with a 14-year-old girl.

Enid Police arrested 27-year-old Kristapher Walker in what was part of an undercover online investigation. It began when a cyber-tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children was sent to Enid Police.

The cyber-tip stated that an Enid man was "sexting" back and forth with a young girl in Ohio. Enid Police Sgt. Dustin Albright began investigating and spoke with the mother of the victim in Ohio. The mother told police that her daughter admitted having "phone sex" with a man who went by the name "Tim Smith".

The mother told Albright that she did some investigating of her own and located the man's phone number on a sexually explicit website. On the site, "Tim Smith" commented on a story, posting his phone number and asking girls to call or "sext" him.

Albright then began his own investigation and contacted "Tim Smith" pretending to be a 13-year-old girl. Enid Police were then able to identify "Tim Smith" as Kristapher Walker.

Police arrested Walker late Thursday afternoon. During a police interview, Walker admitted to communicating with the young girl in Ohio, but also admitted to communicating with other underage girls around the US. Walker also admitted to police that he had sent and received sexually explicit photographs to one of the girls with whom he had been communicating.

"I believe that there are numerous other victims of this crime out there and I intend to investigate this matter as far as possible," Albright said.

Walker has been charged with possession of child pornography and soliciting sexual conduct or communicating with a minor by use of technology. He is currently behind bars at the Garfield County Detention Center.

If you know someone or think your child may have been targeted by Walker, Enid Police urge that you call Crime Stoppers at (580) 233-6233.
