TULSA, Oklahoma -

About 100,000 people are expected at both Grand Lake and in Tulsa this weekend for the 2013 Bassmaster Classic.

The tournament's 53 competitors have launched from the brand new Wolf Creek Park launch site.

It's a huge event for Oklahoma and the farthest west the Classic has been held in more than 30 years.

The economic boost for Green Country will be significant with officials expecting more than $25 million to be sent in the state this weekend.

The fisherman who wins this event will be taking home $500,000.

In addition to the actual event on Grand Lake, there is a fishing expo at the Tulsa Convention Center this weekend and it's all free.

Each afternoon there will be a weigh-in at the BOK Center in downtown Tulsa after they're done catching fish for the day. Doors will open at 3 p.m.

And if you don't want to fight parking downtown, there are several shuttles you can take, from as far away as Bass Pro Shops in Broken Arrow.
