OKLAHOMA CITY -
A murder-for-hire plot was exposed in an Oklahoma City
courtroom, Wednesday.
Fabion Brown and his girlfriend are accused of paying
$250 to have his estranged wife killed back in 2012.
Brown, Emily Matheson, Brodric Glover and Laquan
Ashley are all tied to the murder-for-hire plot. Prosecutors say each had
a role in the killing of pregnant mom Jessica McPherson Brown. All of the
suspects refused to talk outside of the courtroom.
During the preliminary hearing, Matheson testified
against the alleged conspirators. Matheson told the court she "never met
Jessica" the victim in this case. Matheson also said on more than one
occasion she was told to 'keep her mouth shut'.
Matheson described how Brown orchestrated the murder,
hiring Glover to shoot and kill his estranged wife. Matheson testified
brown paid $125 up front and then she paid Glover $125 after the murder.
The defense questioned Matheson's apparent calm
testimony to which she replied "I don't know that anyone in this position
could be calm".
Although the defense tried to build the case against
Matheson, she told the court her testimony was truthful. Prosecutors offered
Matheson a plea deal for her testimony. She could get a life sentence, but only
have to serve 15 years.
