Tulsa businesses who may not have a direct connection to fishing are still getting involved in the 2013 Bassmaster Classic.

They're participating in the Bassmaster Classic Commemorative Challenge sponsored by the Tulsa Sports Commission.

Companies like BOK Financial, Hall Estill, Cubic and News On 6 are entering the contest by each customizing a 29-inch replica of a largemouth bass.

The replicas will be judged by people attending the Bassmaster Classic Outdoor Expo, as well as on the Tulsa Sports Commission's Facebook and Twitter accounts.

"This is such a huge event for the Tulsa region," said Ray Hoyt, senior vice president of VisitTulsa and the Tulsa Sports Commission. "We wanted to be sure local organizations had a way to commemorate the Bassmaster Classic and get involved with the event in a fun way."

Feel free to vote for the News On 6 entry, called Moby Dick Faurot, in honor of meteorologist Dick Faurot who is our resident fishing expert.
