SHAWNEE, Oklahoma -

After struggling to a 1-0 win over Northwestern Iowa, Oklahoma Baptist stunned sixth-ranked Central Baptist in dramatic fashion, 7-6, Friday night in the OBU Valentines Classic.

With two outs and down three runs in the seventh, Noelle McDowell ripped her first college home run to center field to tie the game before Krystal Johnson smacked the walk-off.

OBU had one hit in their 1-0 win over the Red Raiders of Northwestern and it didn't contribute to the game's only run. That run scored in the third when Hannah Morris walked, took second on a wild pitch and third on a ground out by Katelynn Garrett before scoring on another wild pitch.

Kenna Self had the only hit for OBU – a single in the fifth inning.

Hannah Wilbur (1-0) went the distance for OBU, extending her season-long scoreless inning streak to 10. She scattered five hits, walked none and struck out nine batters.

OBU struck first in the win over Central Baptist, getting a two-out RBI single by Self to score Garrett in the third inning.

The Mustangs scored four runs in the top of the fourth on two-run home runs by Haley Baugh and Miranda Manchester for a 4-1 lead.

The Lady Bison scored in the fifth on an RBI ground out by Amanda Harmon to cut the lead to 4-2.

Manchester hit another home run and Raeann Surrett added an RBI single for a 6-2 lead in the top if the sixth.

In the bottom of the sixth, Johnson doubled and scored on a base hit by Bre Russell.

CBC left two runners on in the top of the seventh to set up OBU's dramatic last inning.

With one out, Harmon and Erin McLeod walked. After a pop out, McDowell came up and sent a 1-1 pitch from Jessica Sheldon over the center field fence for the game-tying hit.

Johnson followed over the same fence on a 2-2 count and celebrated with her teammates at home plate.

McDowell (3-0) got the Lady Bison victory, going the distance and recording nine strikeouts.

OBU had nine hits, including two each by Johnson and Garrett.
