A Miami motorcyclist was killed while driving under the influence of alcohol early Saturday in Ottawa County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers say Larry Linn Conley was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson at about 12:30 a.m. February 16 when he was killed. Conley, 43, pulled out of a business and accelerated on Highway 69. He failed to negotiate a curve, and his bike left the roadway to the right and overturned.

The Miami man was ejected about 35 feet from his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The trooper's report notes the odor of alcohol on Conley's person and lists the cause of the wreck as driving under the influence. Conley was not wearing a helmet.
