SAYRE, Oklahoma -

The Sayre Police Department requested OSBI assistance Wednesday with a death investigation.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Trevathan, of Sayre, was found dead inside a relative's apartment in the 500 block of N. 5th Street in Sayre. Several other people were inside the apartment at the time of Trevathan's death. OSBI agents are in the process of interviewing those people.

Agents collected possible evidence from the scene to be tested at the OSBI Forensic Science Center. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy on the body to determine cause and manner of death.

The OSBI is investigating this case as a suspicious death at this point.
