Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say a man ran from the scene after he and an accomplice drove the wrong way, and crashed into a car on Interstate 240 near May.

Just after 1 a.m. Thursday, witnesses called 911 to report a driver was heading east in the westbound lanes of I-240. Troopers and Oklahoma City Police officers tried to intercept the vehicle, but it crashed into an oncoming car before they could stop it.

Immediately after the crash, one suspect in the wrong-way vehicle jumped out and ran. Police found him a few minutes later in a nearby apartment complex.

There were two men in the wrong-way vehicle, which troopers later discovered was stolen. Both men were taken to a hospital to be checked out for injuries. The driver of the car that was hit was also taken to a hospital.

Their conditions have not been released, but troopers say the injuries are not life threatening.
