OKLAHOMA CITY -
An Oklahoma City
man has been charged with a felony after police say he has given his neighbors an
eyeful for years.
Neighbors tell
police 61-year-old David Caton has been exposing himself for the past 15 years. But, it was his latest show that apparently went too far, according to his
accuser who spoke exclusively with News 9.
Susan Thomas says it was just like
any other morning getting ready for work until she looked across the street.
"His pants were
down to his ankles this time, and he was fondling himself," Thomas said.
Thomas says Caton
was in his doorway during the incident. Witnesses tell police Caton has a
history of showing off his birthday suit. Neighbors say his actions have forced
residents to build taller fences, in the area near NW 50th and Meridian, to
keep him out of sight and out of mind.
"The house that's
to the west of [Caton] has been sold and resold at least three times since I've
been here in seven years," Thomas said.
Neighbor Krissy
Fisher says she doesn't buy Thomas' accusations. Other neighbors didn't know
what to think.
"I've known the
family for a long time," neighbor Dave Billesbach said. "I'm surprised he's
been charged."
News 9 wanted to
ask Caton about the charge, but no one answered the door at his northwest Oklahoma
City home. Thomas, on the other hand, had better luck. Following the latest
episode, Thomas says she walked straight up to Caton's door and did not mince
words.
"I told [Caton]
that I was going to call the police, and [Caton is] holding his chest saying,
‘Oh, I can't breathe. I only have one lung,'" Thomas said.
Even though
Caton's indecent exposure charge was filed Friday, there has been no record of
him being booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
