Man Arrested Trying To Blackmail Girlfriend For Nude Photos, Underwear

Investigators with the Logan County Sheriff's Department arrested a man for allegedly trying to blackmail his former girlfriend into giving him nude photos of herself and some of her underwear.

According to investigators, 27-year-old Brandon Gregory Whitson, a registered sex offender, repeatedly threatened to post pornographic photos of the victim online if she did not comply.

When the victim refused, Whitson is said to have posted the photos on a foreign-based website, along with her name, telephone number and place of employment.

As a part of the investigation, authorities searched Whitson's home in an attempt to locate further evidence in these crimes. Based on their investigation, investigators fear that Whitson may have targeted other potential victims.
