Police have identified the woman they say crashed her SUV into a car then drove off, right in front of officers Thursday evening.

Police arrested Ashley Stahl, 26, for felony DUI (third offense), eluding, hit and run, and obstructing a police officer and several traffic violations.

The wreck happened at 5th and Harvard at about 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013.

Police say Stahl was southbound on Harvard in a red GMC Jimmy when she swerved into oncoming traffic. The driver of a Toyota took evasive action but the Jimmy hit it and kept going. Two officers on patrol saw the collision and followed Stahl's SUV, which came to a stop at 4500 East 5th Place in front of Rogers High School.

Police say Stahl refused to get out of the SUV. They finally coaxed her out after several minutes of trying.

The family in the Toyota wasn't hurt and the 10-month-old child in the car was in a child seat, according to police.
