Your 2 Cents: Illegal Immigration

A couple of nights ago I talked about illegal immigration; shutting down the borders, sorting out who's here and being productive, fining those who came in illegally, but also giving them a path to become citizens eventually.

Now YOUR 2 Cents. Mark in Hinton first: "The ONLY intelligent thing you said was close the borders, but we can't even seem to do that!"

Many of you thought my plan was too lenient on illegal immigrants. J. Michael from Cushing wasn't one of them: "Have you ever been hungry once in your life? Try to be honest. Try to learn compassion for somebody."

David in Prague says: "I agree with the path to citizenship solution again, but this time let's close the door (border) so we don't have to revisit this problem again and again."

David in Blanchard disagrees, his plan is simple: "…those who are here illegally should be arrested and deported ASAP."

Ann from Del City writes: "I think Mr. Obama needs to hire you! You have the most sensible plan I've heard."

Finally, Armando is not happy: "[It] is nice to know how Oklahoma's own Kelly Ugly feels about immigration! If you don't know how to be a humanitarian, no-one really expect you to know anything about immigration!"
