Police Seek Wanted Fugitive In Deadly Southwest OKC Shooting

A warrant for the arrest of Juan Manuel Ordaz-Melgoza, 28, has been issued.

Oklahoma City police are looking for a wanted fugitive and need the public's help.

A warrant for the arrest of Juan Manuel Ordaz-Melgoza, 28, has been issued. According to police Ordaz-Melgoza is wanted in reference to a shooting that occurred in southwest Oklahoma City on Friday, November 30.

Jose Garcia, 48, and Latosha Hawks, 27, were both shot that night while sitting inside a car near S.W. 41st Street and Santa Fe. They were both rushed to a hospital in critical condition. Garcia died several days later. Hawks, who was pregnant at the time, did survive but lost the baby.

Ordaz-Melgoza is wanted on charges of first degree murder and assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
