Ardmore EagleMed Workers Fired Prior To Drug Investigation

Posted: Updated:

EagleMed in Ardmore terminated several employees, just before the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics concluded an investigation, News 9 has confirmed.

A spokesman for the OBN says EagleMed requested their assistance looking into possible record-keeping irregularities concerning controlled substances.

"Some potential personnel issues were identified through our internal control measures and we thoroughly investigated and dealt with the issues," said Robbie Copeland, EagleMed Director of Business Development. " The company has already taken significant and swift action to address the personnel issues we identified. While the private details can't be shared, there are several individuals who are no longer employed with our company."

Copeland added the EagleMed base at Ardmore remains fully functional and no flights from the Ardmore base were compromised.

The employees involved have not been identified.

EagleMed is a privately owned and operated air medical transport service.
