CLEVELAND COUNTY, Oklahoma -
The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications for detention officers and dispatchers.
Applicants must be at least 19 years of age and a United States citizen. Annual salary begins at $31,000 for detention officers and $31,500 for dispatchers. Insurance and benefits will be provided.
The Sheriff's office seeks employees with a high-degree of ethical standards and moral character. Applicants must have sound judgment and the ability to think quickly.
Job requirements for detention officers and dispatchers include the following:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Must pass a background investigation, polygraph exam and drug test. Both positions require employees work shifts in a 24/7 operation.
- Applicants cannot have any felony or major misdemeanor convictions nor pending criminal charges.
- Applicants cannot have any domestic abuse convictions or a domestic violence record.
