OKLAHOMA CITY -

A woman says she was attacked, beaten and robbed by a dancer she once worked with at a Del City strip club.

Around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, the woman was standing outside her car at the Plaza Inn at 3200 S. Prospect Avenue in Oklahoma City. She was speaking on her cell phone while her two children were sitting inside the car.

According to a police report, two women suddenly came up behind the victim and attacked her. She said they threw her to the ground, and began hitting and kicking her. She said they stole her purse, her cell phone and $500 in cash.

A witness heard the victim screaming and the children crying, and chased off the suspects. The victim told police she'd recognized her attackers as two women she once worked with at Fantasy Island strip club in Del City. The victim said she's not sure why the victims attacked her, but she said a rumor going around the club a few months ago had sparked some animosity between the women.

Police located one of the suspects, 28-year-old Taneika Townsend, and arrested her. She was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of assault and battery.
