After receiving a tip, Bixby Police said they arrested a 23-year-old Tulsa man on Thursday as he was preparing to rob a pharmacy in South Tulsa.
In a jail report, police said they received a tip Tyler Burns was going to rob the pharmacy, at 101st Street and South Memorial Drive between the hours of 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Police say the tipster provided them with a written statement with specific details about the robbery.
Bixby contacted Tulsa Police and together, both departments staked out the store.
The report says at 6 p.m. Burns pulled into the store's parking lot driving a 2002 black Dodge Durango with a license tag from a 1999 Chevrolet.
Bixby and Tulsa Police approached the vehicle and arrested Burns.
The jail report says in the Durango, officers found a black ski mask, white gloves and a pistol. The report states the pistol had no ammunition.
Burns was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of armed robbery, possession of a firearm while under Oklahoma Department of Corrections supervision and driving under suspension.
Bond was set at $60,600. His first court appearance is set for February 2.
