Southeast OKC Bank Robbed Twice In One Week, Suspects At Large

Bank robbers once again target a southeast Oklahoma City bank branch, for the second time in one week.

Oklahoma City police were called to the Bank of Oklahoma branch located at South Sunnylane Road and S.E. 44th Street Thursday morning in reference to a robbery.

According to police, witnesses say two men entered the bank around 9:30 a.m. One of the men was reportedly armed with a gun. Police say the men left the bank in a white Honda Civic. No word on if they got away with any money.

Police are still searching for the men and the car, which may have been spotted at Summerscape Apartments, an apartment complex near the bank.

The FBI released these descriptions of the suspects:

Subject one: black male, early-mid 20's, 6'1", approximately 150-160 lbs, thin build, wearing a dark hooded jacket, a bandana style covering over the lower part of his face, and light colored sweat pants, carrying a dark colored revolver.

Subject two: black male, 5'11" – 6', approximately 200 lbs stocky build, black hooded jacket, a bandana style covering over the lower part of his face, and dark colored pants, carrying a dark colored semi-automatic handgun.

The bank was just robbed on Friday, January 18. The FBI says in Friday's robbery, two men walked into the bank around 9:30 a.m. Both were armed with guns, and pointed them at bank employees. One robber stood by the door while the other went to the counter and demanded money. Those suspects also are still on the run.

According to the FBI, the manner in which this robbery was conducted and the general descriptions of the subjects are similar to the robbery of the same bank on January 18.

The robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department.
