Police in Enid arrested a 41-year-old man accused of striking a pedestrian with his car and driving away.

Someone called 911 around 8:30 p.m. Thursday to report a woman had been struck by a car in the 1300 block of S. Van Buren. When police arrived, they found 38-year-old Mary Beth Ward lying in the street. Paramedics administered CPR and rushed her to a nearby hospital, but she died less than an hour later.

Witnesses told police a driver hit Ward and never stopped. Officers identified that driver as 41-year-old Anthony Michael Oller.

Police located Oller and discovered his vehicle had extensive damage in the front. Officers arrested him for first-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of a fatality accident, and driving under suspension.
