SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Oklahoma -

The rear wheels of a tanker trailer parked at a rest stop on Interstate-40 between Muldrow and Sallisaw caught fire at 8:20 a.m. Monday, closing the highway in both directions for a short time.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the fire was quickly extinguished.

The truck belongs to Continental Carbonic.

No word on what caused the fire or if anyone was injured.

The Interstate was reopened 15 minutes later.
