TULSA, Oklahoma -

The oldest of the four women killed in an apartment at Fairmont Terrace was laid to rest Monday.

Julie Jackson was 55 years old and leaves behind three children, five grandchildren. She had another grandchild on the way, as well.

Police say Jackson lived next door to the two twin sisters killed in the shootings.

Family members say she treated Rebeika Powell and Kayetie Powell-Melchor like her own daughters, and had been helping take care of one of the girls' 3-year-old son.

A slide show highlighted the mother and grandmother's 55 years of life, much of it spent with family.

"I miss her so much," said her mother, Lyne West.

Her brother, Clifford West, said, "She's gonna be greatly missed. She loved her grandchildren, she loved her children."

The service was about remembering her life and the impression she left on those she met.

Julie's mother said she loved painting, riding horses, and knew her way around a car.

"She could replace your radiator or change a tire," Lyne said.

No matter how difficult Julie's death has been for her family, they say she died helping neighbors she loved.

"She took them in just like her daughters, and the baby, like her grandbaby," Clifford said.

Her family and friends say she's gone on to a better place, which is something that brings them strength in this time of sorrow.

"I know that Julie's in Heaven smiling because of the people that come," Clifford said.

"I know where she's at. I know she's at peace now," Lyne said.

We contacted Tulsa Police and they say there's no new information in the search for the killer.

As for the fourth victim, Misty Nunley, her funeral services are still pending.
