Cooking Accident Sends Nicoma Park Woman To Hospital

A woman in Nicoma Park suffered burns over a majority of her body after a cooking accident at her home, Sunday afternoon.

It happened at a home located at 11200 NE 23^rd St. in Nicoma Park.

Emergency crews have not released the identity of the woman, but tell News 9 that she is in her 50s and that she suffered burns to over 60% of her body.

Eagle medical was called in to fly the woman to the hospital. Emergency responders did not say how exactly the accident occurred, only that it was a "cooking accident".

The degree of the woman's burns and her condition is also unknown.
