Marcus Smart's 14 points and five steals led Oklahoma State (11-3, 1-1) to its first conference win of the season, downing TCU (9-6, 0-2) 63-45 Wednesday night in Stillwater.

Smart's not only led the Pokes in scoring but did it on 5-5 shooting. Markel Brown added 14 points, six rebounds and five assists for OSU while Le'Bryan Nash chipped in 13 and six boards.

OSU got off to a hot start, outscoring the Frogs 36-22 in the first half. The Cowboys used that lead to coast to as easy a victory as you'll find in the always-competitive Big 12.

Garlon Green led the way for TCU, scoring 20 points to nearly account for half of the Frogs' scoring total. Kyan Anderson added 10 and was the only other TCU player in double-digits.

OSU controlled play by dominating on the glass, out-rebounding TCU 36-17. The Pokes turned those rebounds into points, shooting an impressive 52 percent while holding TCU to just 36 percent.

Next up for the Cowboys is a trip to Norman to face arch-rival Oklahoma. Tip is set for Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
