Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) have arrested a 42-year-old man accused of sending sexually explicit text messages to his 15-year-old former foster daughter.

Robert Gutierrez, who lives in Waurika and works as a reserve police officer for the city of Ryan, turned himself in at the Jefferson County Jail on December 20.

The OSBI began investigating Gutierrez at the request of the Lawton Police Department. During the investigation, agents discovered explicit texts sent to the teenage girl, allegedly from Gutierrez. Gutierrez was the girl's foster parent several months earlier. The teen's current foster parent alerted police after seeing the inappropriate texts.

Gutierrez was arrested on a complaint of engaging in sexual communication with a minor by use of technology. He's being held on a $20,000 bond.
