OKLAHOMA CITY -
Police uncovered
drugs and hundreds of thousands of dollars in southwest Oklahoma City after
being called to a suspected domestic disturbance early Tuesday morning.
Neighbors heard a
husband on a rampage, breaking things inside his home in 1600 block of Linden
near S. Pennsylvania and Exchange.
Those neighbors,
who wanted to stay anonymous, reported the disturbance to police out of fear
the woman and children who live in the home could be in trouble.
"I heard glass
breaking and yelling and things sounded like they were being tossed around and
broken," a neighbor said.
When police
arrived to the home in the early morning hours on New Year's Day, they reported
finding Elias Amado still ransacking the home. Police say Elias admitted to
"destroying the house" because he was upset his wife and kids had left
him.

Reports from the
Oklahoma City Police Department show police noticed more than broken doors,
busted glass, and personal belongings scattered on the lawn.
"When officers
arrived there was a vehicle in the driveway. As they were approaching the
house, they looked in…and noticed there was a large amount of US currency
bundled up inside the jeep," said OKCPD Master Sgt. Gary Knight.
Police say Amado
had $421,266 dollars in suspected drug money inside the jeep and 525 grams of
methamphetamine apparently packaged for illegal drug trade.
"This isn't a
recreational amount of drug use. This is, especially when bundled like this, an
extreme amount that is meant for transporting, for trafficking, for mass sales,"
Knight said.
"It's not a bad
thing to get the drugs and money off the streets, but I don't really want to be
involved in any of it," said a neighbor.
Police booked Amado
into the Oklahoma County Jail for drug trafficking and possessing drug proceeds.
