One Dead In Shooting At Apartment Complex In Bethany

One person is dead following a shooting in Bethany.

Oklahoma City and Bethany police responded to a shooting around 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Western Oaks apartment complex located at N.W. 23rd Street and Glade.

When officers arrived, they found one adult man with a gunshot wound to the chest inside one of the apartments. The victim's adult son and a friend were also in the apartment. Police say the victim was dead upon arrival.

Officers found the gun inside the apartment complex and do not believe there is an ongoing threat. Police detained both the son of the victim and the friend for questioning.

The shooting is still under investigation. Police are not releasing the victim's identity at this time.
