A 50-year old Bartlesville man who was released from prison in June 2012 on a second degree murder conviction is back behind bars, this time charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
In late December, Bartlesville police were called to investigate a disturbance at a home. When officers arrived they found Richard Muldoon lying in the front yard, unconscious, and a whisky bottle nearby.
According to court records, police said Muldoon had gotten into a knife fight with another man.
An affidavit stated officers noticed a strong smell of alcohol on Muldoon.
Muldoon pled guilty in 1989 to a charge of second degree murder. He was sentenced to 50 years in prison and was released after serving 22 and half years.
Bond for Muldoon was set at $100,000 with a court hearing set for January 11th.
