Drive-By Shooting In SW OKC Sends One To Hospital

It was a frightening start to the new year when residents in southwest Oklahoma City woke to gunfire and the news someone had been shot.

Police say just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, someone in a car fired several shots in the 3300 block of S. Parkview Avenue. The victim was struck once. He was rushed to a hospital and is expected to recover. His name has not been released.

Witnesses told police the victim knows the gunman, and the two had argued the day before. Those same witnesses said the suspect threatened to harm the victim.

Police have the suspect's name and are searching for him now.
