OKLAHOMA CITY -
Forecasters
say parts of Oklahoma and Arkansas could see snow this Christmas.
The
National Weather Service in Little Rock issued a special weather statement
Saturday warning that significant accumulations of snowfall are possible across
parts of Arkansas around the holiday.
Forecasters
say precipitation will begin to spread across Arkansas starting late Monday and
continuing into Tuesday.
Meteorologist
Craig Sullivan with the National Weather Service in Tulsa, Okla., says 2 to 4
inches of snow could fall on parts of southeast Oklahoma and northwest
Arkansas.
The National Weather Service
in Little Rock says the precipitation will start off as rain across the
southern and central parts of Arkansas on Christmas morning. Sleet or snow
could mix in as the storm moves northward.
