MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -

A family member helped police talk a man into coming out of an apartment building following a standoff in Midwest City.

Early Saturday morning, neighbors called police to Fairfax Apartments at N.E. 10th Street and Midwest Boulevard after hearing gunshots. By the time officers arrived, a man had barricaded himself inside an apartment.

Police evacuated residents while they tried to convince the man to come out. A family member finally persuaded him to leave the building.

Residents were allowed back into their apartments around 1:30 a.m. No one was hurt, and police did not arrest anyone.
