Santa Claus came a few days early for a Tulsa boy stricken by bacterial meningitis.

We've followed Jeremiah Mitchell since he lost his arms and legs to the disease nearly three years ago.

You better move fast if you're going to hang out with Mitchell.

His arms and legs may be gone, but he doesn't let that keep him down.

Mitchell lost his arms and legs in March 2010.

The outbreak in Oologah claimed the lives of two other children, Andrew Thomas and Shuache Moua.

These days, Jeremiah has prosthetic arms, which he was unable to use Friday because of soreness, and two pairs of artificial legs.

The small "stubbies," as they're called, and longer, full-length legs, make him more than 3-feet tall.

"I'm better because I got my long legs," Mitchell said.

Friday was a special day for Mitchell, and he had a special visitor.

Santa Claus came bearing dozens of gifts.

"We're very thankful, we're very grateful," Mitchell's mother, Michaela Mitchell, said.

More than $2500 in toys for Jeremiah Mitchell and presents for his mother were donated by employees at Kimberly-Clark.

This is the third year Kimberly-Clark has treated Jeremiah to his own personal Christmas.

"It's just terrific to see all of the smiles the kids have this time of year," Kimberly-Clark's Eric Draheim said. "I love it."

Michaela Mitchell said her son is doing very well in school, and he's in third grade but reading at a sixth-grade level.

She said that each and every day, she's amazed at how far he has come.

"I can't even describe, in a million years I would never think that we would, he would accomplish what he's accomplished or we would be where we're at," Michaela Mitchell said.

Jeremiah Mitchell is scheduled to have surgery on his eyes, lips and arms in February.

Many businesses donated to help make the Mitchell's Christmas merry, including Walmart, Sam's Club, Target, Belk, Best Buy, Walgreens, CVS, Rib Crib, Freddie's Steakhouse, Honeybaked Ham Co., Fred and Julie Roumbanis, Nicole Arbuckle, Greg Arnold and Kimberly-Clark employees.
